The kiosk (or periptero) is a Greek institution found in all towns and most villages. Sougia's kiosk is open all day and closes at around 21.00 in the early season. It remains open late (around midnight) in the summer.
Apart from selling cigarettes, sweets, phone cards, cold drinks and ice-cream you can also buy newspapers (in Greek though) and most things that you didn't know you needed ...until you needed them.
Sougia's kiosk is located right on the sea front.
